Sixty-Eight

There is something solid about the number 68. It was the year when the Anno Domini calendar became the prevalent method in Europe and soon the world for naming years. It was the year Nero was ousted as Emperor of Rome. It was also the year Buddhism arrived in China. 68 is considered in mathematics to be a happy number, where  you replace the number by the sum of the squares of its digits, and repeat the process until the number equals 1 (where it will stay), or it loops endlessly in a cycle which does not include 1. More importantly for us and hopefully for you, sixty-eight is the name we gave to this frame. It is a sharp looking classically styled frame with a modern cutting edge and lightweight feel. Whether one is the teacher or the student, it looks great at any age. No wonder it is one of our most popular styles. The sixty-eight is available in Walnut, White/Crystal, Smoke/Crystal, Black/Crystal, and Grainy Green. Try a pair on for yourself today and like me, you will want one for yourself.

Capo

The Caporegime is an Sicilian word used to signify the head of a family. Most of us know the term from the old Godfather movies. Shortened to Capo, the term has come to be one signifying strength and leadership. The friezeframe Capo is a frame and sunglass that demands respect. Strong and good looking, the Capo adds a measure of authority to the wearer without being over-bearing. The Capo is available as both an ophthalmic frame as well as a sunglass. Choose from Black/Clear, Grainy Graphite, & Tortoise.

Fifty-One

Students of history might know that the year fifty-one was the Year of the Consulship of Caesar and Scipio, or better yet, the year when the Anno Domini (AD) calendar became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years. 51 was the beginning of what became a standard we use to this day, 2012.

So too is the friezeframe 51 the start of a standard. Based on the traditional cat-eye style, this popular frame softens the edges and adds a bit of bling without being considered the least bit ostentatious. Available in Red Smoke, Sapphire Blue, Brown and Black, this ladies frame style is sure to make statement that will set the standards for years to come.

Hewood………..you buzz off?

Growing up most of us bothering our siblings too much would hear “hey would you buzz off?”. It kind of stuck with us and as we started working with natural materials for our eyewear, the expression came rushing back. So what better name to call our first design with renewable bamboo on the temples than Hewood? You heard right. We use bamboo on the temples of these classic designed eyeglasses to create a lightweight, comfortable to wear expression of the marriage of classic wood and modern plastics. Available in Matte Black, Red, and Matte Tortoise these frames can be ordered as ophthalmic as well in sunglasses. Try a pair on today!

Sixty

The year 60 was a leap year,  just as 2012 is. It was also the year the Romans built the first London Bridge. The friezeframe 60 carries on that classic Roman/British look with its modern and artistic take of the classic rectangular frame of yesteryear. This bold frame is a favorite of stores across the country and across the oceans as well. Available in Blue, Purple, Emerald Green and Stone Grey.

Seventy-One

71 is the algebraic degree of Conway’s Constant. 71 is also the 20th prime number….of course, some of you math geeks already knew that. Even though 71 might not look it, it is a well rounded number. We like a well rounded number around here too from time to time. Perhaps you do as well, which is why we are suggesting a look at friezeframes seventy-one eyeglass frame. The seventy-one looks great and will bring out the best in you with it’s distinctive rounded shape and great colors too. Available in Black, Marble, and Purple Grain.
